Brand Portfolio Manager

Our client, a major software provider and worldwide leader in delivering comprehensive solutions to the mining and geoscience industries, is looking for a Brand Portfolio Manager, ASAP!

Job Summary:

Reporting to the CEO, the Brand Portfolio Manager will be a key member of the Executive team. The Brand Portfolio Manager’s mission is to lead the Brand Portfolio Management team, in charge of defining & managing the Roles Portfolio to meet user community expectations, and enabling the Sales teams and the Center of Excellence teams to spread the Brand Specialization locally. The Brand Portfolio manager is the custodian of the value proposition associated with the Roles supported by the Brand’s set of Applications.

Compensation: Total compensation package up to $150,000 CAD / year commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Type: Full time, permanent.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Define Roles content and Apps requirements of the user community, if relevant in the context of Industry Process Experiences;
  • Define the Packaging - based on Apps - and Pricing for each role in the context of the Industry Process Experiences they serve, in collaboration with the Research & Development and Pricing teams;
  • Manage the lifecycle of the Roles portfolio;
  • Work along with the Merger & Acquisition department to identify possible business acquisitions and partners;
  • Assess and validate Role readiness for launch in relation with R&D Quality Assurance;
  • Build & deliver the Sales kit for all orderable components of the Brand portfolio;
  • Identify and document the Points of Differentiation and Points of Parity for each role to ensure successful marketing content creation & deployment;
  • Propose input for Industry Process Experience value definition in collaboration with the Industry teams;
  • Provide Role input to Industry Process Experience packaging definition, and validate it;
  • Provide input to the Brand Strategy team on the market segmentation, in order to define trends & SWOT, market opportunities and risks;
  • Provide contribution to build the 3Y Brand strategy plan (revenue plan, competitive landscape);
  • Validate Role content and maturity, matching user needs, by leading the first user facing engagement for agreed customers/prospects references list;
  • Build content & deliver trainings to enable GEO Sales & Center of Excellence (CoE) teams in alignment with Training Master Schedule established by Channels Sales Operations;
  • Provide support to Center of Excellence teams on identified and agreed referencing cases;
  • Capitalize on use cases and usages collected & analyzed by the Center of Excellence and Brand Advocacy Marketing teams;
  • Upon request (events, customer events, …)  be the internal & external spoke person for the Brand Role portfolio.

  • Management deliverables:
    Team management : Organization, Objectives, Monitoring, Recognition, Talent, GPTW survey
    Reporting on Brand Portfolio management activities and associated internal communication

    Technical deliverables:
    For each role: Packaging & Pricing definition
    Sales kit for all orderable portfolio
    Proposal for Industry Process Experience value definition 
    List of Roles for Industry Process Experience packaging definition 
    Roles generic input to be verticalized in the appropriate Industry Process Experience
    Enablement actions for GEO Sales & Center of Excellence Teams

    KPIs:
    Logical Packaging & Naming (LPN-PRI) validated on time 
    Sales kits delivered on time
    Roles coverage embedded in IPEs 
    Sales teams certified as appropriate
    # of Users adopting Roles


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences combined with business experience or education;
  • At least 10 years of experience in Software industry in product management, business development, strategic planning or similar role;
  • Strong understanding of the Geosphere modeling landscape and market (i.e. Mining, Geomodeling, GIS, mapping, hydrogeology, environmental science, etc.);

  • Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company;

  • Ability to lead projects;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and senior executive level;

  • Demonstrated record of leadership in software product management, business development and marketing, as measured by revenue growth;

  • Product management experience, technical background strongly preferred;

  • Strong business background in the related Market Segment (knowledge & acumen).
